Product description

Open-air sightseeing route on the Wawel-Anhöhe
The walk over the courtyards and terraced gardens of the Wawel-Anhöhe leads to the former "Feuerbastei", from where you have a wide view of Krakow and the surrounding area.

The Wawel hill with its royal castle and cathedral has served representative, religious and defensive purposes over the centuries. The buildings have been built over almost ten centuries and have been repeatedly modified and extended. The walk begins at the exhibition The Lost Wawel on the 18th century model of the state of development and leads through several courtyards to the terraced royal gardens. From the lower terrace, a narrow staircase leads to the residential towers - the Gothic "Chicken's Claw" and the Baroque tower of King Sigismund III. Wasa - on the slopes in front of the northern facade of the castle. From this place you have a great panorama of the old town. The further walk leads to the Sandomierska Bastion, from where you have a wide view of Krakow and its surroundings.
