Imagine hundreds of yaks gathered in the green steppes, alongside proud mongolian nomads ....
Here we are, the festivities can begin !!! Yak rodeo, yak race, and yak polo match, etc ... These words would make us almost think of an American show ... almost ... but quickly forget this idea, because Mongolia is before all, the country of the simplicity and sharing ...

On the way, we discover other sites, the show of nature this time: Khugnu khan sand dunes, and the green steppes of Orkhon valley, through the waterfalls of Ulaantsutgalaan

Day 1 : Ulan-Bator
Pick up at the airport and transfer to the Hotel. Lunch in a traditional restaurant to enjoy the famous Mongolian barbecue.
Discovery of Gandan Monastery and Mongolian National Museum of History.
Day 2 : Ulan-Bator - Khugnu Khan
Drive to Khugnu Khan natural reserve. Where we will discover Elsen Tasarhai sand dune known as little Gobi. Enjoy a Mongolian two humped camel riding in a landscape of sandy dunes. Hiking between the strange rocky formations of Khunu Khan mountains.
Day 3 : Khugnu Khan - Orkhon Valley
Today we drive into Orkhon valley, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The diversity of landscapes makes this region a sumptuous painting with thousands colors. We cross the valley from East to West to reach the encampment of our next nomadic family. We will discover the unexpected Ulaantsutgalan waterfall.
Day 4 : Yak festival
Yak is very common domestic cattle in Mongolia’s mountainious regions and extremely well adapted in tough and harsh mountain climate. Mongolia is the world’s second largest yak herding country after China. Today we will enjoy yak race and yak rodeos.
Day 5 : Orkhon valley - Tsenkher hot spring
Today we will drive to the north. We wil discover and enjoy Tsenkher hot springs gushing up to 86.5 ° C.
Day 6 : Tsenkher - Kharkhorin
Today, we discover Kharkhorin, the legendary city of Chingghis Khan, founded in 1220.
The only remaining of the ancient city is the "Erdenezuu Monastery". Built by the initiative of Zanabazar at the end of the 16th century.
Visit of the local museum.
Day 7 : Kharkhorin - Ulan-Bator
Drive back to Ulan-Bator. Afternoon free time for shopping or some city tour.
Evening at the Mongolian National Folk Art teatr for a memorable traditional arts performance.
Day 8 : Return
Early morning transfer to the airport.
